Or
On a whole we can say one mole is a collection of 6.023*1023 entities.

If teacher says,
1 gram atom of element(say carbon) = 1 mole (We say yes)
1 gram atom of element(say aluminium) = 1 mole (We say yes)

Similarly,

If teacher says,
1 gram atom of element(say carbon) = 6.023*1023 (We say yes TRUE)
1 gram atom of element(say aluminium) = 6.023*1023 (We say yes TRUE)

Similarly with the molecule,

If teacher says,
1 gram mole of Compound(say HCL) = 6.023*1023 (We say yes TRUE)
1 gram mole of Compound(say NaOH) = 6.023*1023 (We say yes TRUE)

There are 7 periods and the 18 groups In a periodic table alongside lanthanides and actinides are present.So to predict the the period block and group to  which a particular element belongs can be located with the help of following guidelines with example


Find Block:-


The sub shell in which the last electron is filled tells the block of the element.
For Example:-




Find Period of element:-


The Principal Quantum Number of valence shell tells the period of element

Find Group of element:-

The group of the element is predicted from the electrons present in outermost or pen ultimate shell as follow


For S-Block Elements:- group number is equal to number of ns electrons.

Example:- last electron has been filled in 4s subshell (or orbital),the elements belongs to s-block. as there is only one electron in valance s-sub-shell, the elements is group 1

For P-Block Elements:- group number is equal to 10+(number of ns+np) electrons.

Example:- last electron has been filled in p subshell (or orbital),the elements belongs to p-block. as there are electrons in valance s-sub-shell + p subshell, the elements is group :-







For d-Block Elements:- group number is equal to


(number of (n-1)d + ns) Electrons.




For f-Block Elements:-

group number is 3.

two types of conductor
1.Metallic conductor and 2.Electrolyte conductor( electrolytes)



Conductors

Conductors are the substances which allow electricity(or electrons) to flow through them .while substances which do not allow the flow of electric current are called non conductors or insulator.

Metallic conductors:- Metallic conductors are also called as electronic conductors because they conduct current due to movement of electrons. they may be metals,semi metals (metalloids) and also alloys(which is combination of more than one metal ).


Depending on their capacity metal can be classified as good and poor conductor. On supplying energy with the battery this allow passage of current(or electrons).

Electrolytic conductors also known as electrolytes


These are those which allow the flow of current in liquid (aqueous)state but not in solid state like metals. Their conductivity increases with the rise in temperature . Electrolytes are generally acid base and salt


These electrolytes divided into two parts
1. strong electrolyte and
2. weak electrolyte


Strong electrolyte

When electrolyte is dissolved in water or any solvent if it break completely to form ions  allows  electric current to pass are called                                                     strong electrolytes
